The History of Lorem Ipsum

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2,000 years old. The standard Lorem Ipsum passage, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet...", is derived from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of Cicero's de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum (The Extremes of Good and Evil). It has survived not only five centuries but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.
